Alosetron (Lotronex) revisited

The FDA recently announced that it will permit reintroduction of alosetron hydrochloride (Lotronex - GlaxoSmithKline) for treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The drug was previously withdrawn from the market because of severe gastrointestinal toxicity.
