The main goals of treatment of chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease (COPD) are to relieve symptoms,
reduce the frequency and severity of exacerbations,
prevent disease progression, and reduce mortality.
GOLD (Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung
