primary advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer.
Dostarlimab was recently granted regular approval
for treatment of adults with dMMR recurrent or
advanced endometrial cancer that progressed on
or following a prior platinum-containing regimen in
any setting and who are not candidates for curative
surgery or radiation.

A 0.75% vaginal gel formulation of metronidazole (MetroGel-Vaginal - Curatek) and a 2% vaginal cream formulation of clindamycin phosphate (Cleocin - Upjohn) were recently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for treatment of bacterial vaginosis. Seven days' treatment with oral metronidazole, 500 mg b.i.d., has been the usual treatment for this condition, with oral clindamycin, 300 mg b.i.d., as an alternative (JL Thomason et al, Am J Obstet Gynecol, 165:1210, 1991).

The FDA has approved Kimyrsa (Melinta), a new
IV formulation of the long-acting lipoglycopeptide
antibiotic oritavancin, for treatment of adults with acute
bacterial skin and skin structure infections caused by
susceptible gram-positive bacteria. Orbactiv (Melinta),
another IV formulation of oritavancin, was approved in
2014 for the same indication. Kimyrsa has a smaller
infusion volume (250 mL vs 1 L) and a shorter infusion
time (1 hour vs 3 hours) compared to Orbactiv (see
Table 1).

Cosibelimab (Unloxcyt – Checkpoint Therapeutics),
a programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) blocking
antibody, has been approved by the FDA for treatment
of locally advanced or metastatic cutaneous squamous
cell carcinoma in adults who are not candidates for
curative surgery or radiation. It is the first PD-L1
inhibitor to be approved in the US for this indication.
The PD-1 inhibitors pembrolizumab (Keytruda) and
cemiplimab (Libtayo) are also approved for treatment
of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.

sale of a nonmedicated alcohol-based gel (Eroxon –
Futura) for treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in
males ≥22 years old. Eroxon is the only FDA-approved

is also available in the UK and the EU.
