The immune checkpoint inhibitor dostarlimab-gxly (Jemperli – GSK) has been approved by the FDA for use in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel for treatment of adults with mismatch repair deficient (dMMR) or microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) primary advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer. Dostarlimab was recently granted regular approval for treatment of adults with dMMR recurrent or advanced endometrial cancer that progressed on or following a prior platinum-containing regimen in any setting and who are not candidates for curative surgery or radiation.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported that measles outbreaks have occurred in New York City, California and Arizona in 2008, and additional cases have been confirmed in Michigan, Wisconsin, Hawaii, New York State, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Virginia (CDC Health Advisory, May 1, 2008). The US manufacturer of varicella zoster immune globulin (VZIG; Massachusetts Public Health Biologic Laboratories, Boston, MA) recently discontinued its production. A Canadian formulation, VariZIG (Varicella Zoster Immune Globulin [Human] - Cangene Corporation, Winnipeg) is now available in the US under an investigational new drug application expanded access protocol.
