The immune checkpoint inhibitor dostarlimab-gxly (Jemperli – GSK) has been approved by the FDA for use in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel for treatment of adults with mismatch repair deficient (dMMR) or microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) primary advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer. Dostarlimab was recently granted regular approval for treatment of adults with dMMR recurrent or advanced endometrial cancer that progressed on or following a prior platinum-containing regimen in any setting and who are not candidates for curative surgery or radiation.

The nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) diclofenac, has been approved by the FDA in a 1% topical gel formulation (Voltaren Gel - Endo) for treatment of osteoarthritis (OA). A 3% topical diclofenac gel (Solaraze) is currently approved for treatment of actinic keratoses, but not for topical use on joints. No other topical NSAIDs are approved by the FDA for OA. A diclofenac patch (Flector) was recently approved by the FDA for treatment of pain due to minor strains, sprains and contusions.

Now the FDA has approved Sumavel DosePro> (Zogenix), a needle-free device for delivering sumatriptan succinate to subcutaneous tissue, for treatment of migraine and cluster headache in adults.

The FDA has approved the human interleukin (IL)-12 and -23 antagonist ustekinumab (Stelara – Janssen Biotech) for treatment of moderately to severely active Crohn's disease in adults who were intolerant of or whose disease was unresponsive to treatment with immunomodulators or corticosteroids, or a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitor.
